My grandmother moved into Serenity’s Haven when she was in her 90’s and her mental faculties had declined.  She was treated like a cherished family member.  A few years later, my sister-in-law (a brittle diabetic) moved in.  She, too, was treated like family.  I have heard of countless places for people who can no longer live at home or with their family.  But, none compare to Serenity’s Haven!  The place is ALWAYS clean, the food is good and plentiful, and the care is nothing short of amazing.  Plus, the views out of the windows are beautiful.  As a former nurse, I would highly recommend this facility (home) to anyone.  It’s wonderfully unique!

Candy Brigance and her staff took care of my mother for three years until her death.  When mom went to Serenity’s Haven she could not walk or take care of herself properly.  Mom was clean and dressed every day, as was her room.  I was very satisfied with the level of care she received from the staff.  It was much like a large, caring family.

The home and grounds were always well kept.  It was a lovely place to visit and family members were made welcome at all times.  I can heartily recommend Serenity’s Haven Assisted Living to anyone who wants a pleasant, well run, home for a loved one.

My dad lived at Serenity’s Haven for five years.  During those five years we traveled greatly and I never had to worry about his care while we were gone.  I knew my father was in the best hands and he was being well taken care of.  We would bring my father to our home for the day and after a short visit he would say, “I’m ready to go back home now.” He loved his “home” and his friends.  I cannot think Candy and her staff enough for all their dedication to my dad.

My husband was a resident at Serenity’s Haven for six years, following a stroke, which left him paralyzed on his right side.  Every time I went to visit all I smelled was delicious food cooking.  Walter always bragged on the food and the staff (his friends).

Walter never had any complaints when I visited.  He would always tell me how amazing the staff treated him. I know my husband required a lot of physical help and time of the staff, for that, I am forever grateful for the care my husband received.  No place in my eyes could provide for my husband like Serenity’s Haven did.

Candy, Ginger and all my friends at Serenity’s Haven,

Thank you so much for the beautiful flower arrangement you sent for my mom.

Most of all, I would like to thank you for doing what you do, as a profession, because you CARE.

I know my mom was most grateful to all you ladies, even though she was not able to express herself in words, during her last few weeks.  Mama was always a gracious and giving person who never failed to say “Thank you”, if able.

You all became her family and my family too!  I will miss seeing all you but will try to visit when I can.  Lots of love to my new family.

Serenity’s Haven was home for my mother for a short time (3 months).  My mom would call me to tell me how she loved her new “home” and how sweet everyone is to her.  She adored the staff and called them her new family.  My only regret is not finding Serenity’s Haven sooner for my mom.
